When it comes to apartment buildings, the penthouse is often seen as the most coveted floor, but those at ground level often have the better deal if there's outdoor space in the equation. Anybody coming to northern Israel to stay in this apartment will surely agree with this by the end of their stay.

Slide open the glass doors and you're greeted with a private garden that stretches around both sides of the building, which features everything from alfresco seating and play equipment to an inflatable swimming pool in which to cool off during particularly warm afternoons. Add to that a view of palm trees and the Mediterranean Sea, and it's not hard to imagine hours being passed in this pleasant space.

There's plenty to like about the home's interior, too. The tall windows and glass doors bring in plenty of natural light and this sense of brightness is only furthered by the white walls and shiny grey floor. When it comes to the furnishings, there's a mid-century influence in the preference for clean lines and wooden surfaces, while the kitchen and bathrooms are welcomingly sleek, too.

When it comes to seeing a little more of the local area, Achziv Beach is about fifteen minutes away on foot, while Achziv National Park – home to lagoons, sandstone ridges and the ruins of an ancient fishing village – is another five minutes' walk on top of that.
