Area Nevern is a pretty little fishing village near to the town of Newport in the north east of Pembrokeshire. The excellent church in the village was on the pilgrim's route to St Davids and draws visitors from around the globe to wander through the peaceful avenue of 700 year old yew trees, one of which is the famous bleeding yew tree for which various legends exist. There is an ancient castle ruin on the edge of the village, wonderful river walks and a pub/restaurant serving fine food all year round. The beautiful Pembrokeshire coast is nearby with its stunning sandy beaches, the famous coastal path, bird and dolphin watching and boat trips. An informative and fun day can be had by all at the local Iron Age hill fort and the Shire Horse farm. A perfect location for all ages to escape for a peaceful, yet fun packed holiday at any time of year.
