We're huge fans of the design throughout, from the parquet floors and mid-century furnishings to the minimalist kitchen and wood-panelled bathroom. Just outside, there's a terrace and garden from which to enjoy the peaceful setting, but there are plenty of outdoor excursions to be had in the local area. The island's coastline lies six minutes' walk away and it's possible to hire a bicycle so you can see the island on two wheels. If you choose to do that, De Schorren nature reserve is only seventeen minutes away and offers some fantastic birdwatching opportunities
