This remodelled rustic villa was once a farmhouse and offers a quintessential taste of Tuscany. The home is set amongst rolling hills and close to Volterra, one of the most picturesque villages in the region. The surrounding garden is framed by olive trees and grapevines; sit back with a book beneath the pergola or dine alfresco, devouring perfectly charred pizza freshly baked in the wood oven. However, our favourite seat in the house can be found by the swimming pool – it boasts spectacular panoramic views and is enclosed by a hedge for privacy. A holiday to Tuscany should combine quality wine with good company, and with a wine cellar and impressively long dining table, this home provides you with both. Gather with friends over a meal or share stories beside a roaring fire. In the evening, families can disperse and enjoy their own space in separate buildings. The interior design celebrates slow living and luxurious simplicity, with high domed ceilings, flagstone floors and white-washed walls.
