It starts with the four-poster bed – the feeling that nothing in this home has been left to chance. The host has gone all the way to Indonesia in search of the perfect furniture to create the look of fairytale glamour that fits perfectly into this home. The lower floor of this home doesn't get a lot of natural light, but we liked its original features, such as the original beams in the ceiling and the stone-paved terrace, perfect for afternoon relaxation.

Home truths:
* Although this home can accommodate up to four guests, the third and fourth guest will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living room
* The only bathroom is an ensuite to the master bedroom, so at full occupancy, the last two guests will only be able to access it via the bedroom
* The kitchen only has the most basic necessities – avid cooks beware
* The dining area is the small green table, so if you like big feasts you might want to look elsewhere
