Small boutique vacation home located 3.5 miles from Kenmare on Kenmare Bay.

The accommodation offers large bedrooms, a separate guest lounge sitting room with tea-making facilities and two outdoor patios. Each room has a wardrobe and desk and WiFi. There are no TVs in the room. Views from all rooms show hills, woods and distant mountains. Two rooms are en suite and the third has a large bathroom alongside it.

Situated on grounds of 3 acres in a beautiful river valley, the lodge sits isolated and surrounded by hills, mountains and woods. It is down a laneway far from the main roads. The absence of traffic noise makes the lodge a deeply peaceful retreat.

Local activities include mountain climbing and hill walking, a myriad of land and sea activities and two golf courses. Killarney National Park is within 5 km of the town. The town is flanked by The Beara and Iveragh peninsulas which offer over 200 km of walking routes.

I cannot say enough about this home. My husband, 3 year old daughter and I found this property to be nothing short of enchanting. The mountain views were breathtaking. Our walks along the river’s wooded edge were so peaceful that even in heavy rains, we indulged several times a day. We even got to know the neighbor cows! The home itself had a rare and authentic personality- from its sustainability centered design to the local art on the walls and earthenware in the kitchen. Thoughtful lighting and woolen blankets throughout the space made it feel intentionally warm and the wood burning stove made for the coziest hearth to snuggle up around each morning with a good book and cup of tea. I would live in this home if I could and will definitely return. Kenmare is our favorite Village in Ireland- good restaurants, live music, great art and scenic drives. The access to and reciprocity with the natural world was just the kind of luxury we needed. Thank you!

What a beautiful country home. It was so serene and peaceful. The home itself is quite nicely decorated. You feel like you are at home. If I was to ever come back definitely I would rent this place again. Walking around the home and the beautiful country side is so exhilarating. We loved it. The hostess was always giving recommendations, and very attentive if we had questions. So nice

The house is gorgeous - light and welcoming and beautifully decorated with extremely comfortable rooms - set in a glorious and peaceful location. An ideal spot for relaxing and soaking up the beauty of nature and a short drive away from some of Kerry's most spectacular scenery. Anne gave us lots of great tips for exploring the surroundings.

We loved staying here. Ann was a delightful host, with lots of local information and she has a wicked sense of humour! The facilities were wonderful, and we really appreciated staying in such an eco friendly place. The breakfast was really delicious, and catered well for restricted dairy and gluten diets (not always the case). The lodge is a little out of town, so make sure you know where you’re going while you have internet access if you don’t have local data. I would highly recommend this Lodge and hope to come back one day

"Eco-gem near a lovely Irish town, Kenmare"

Everything is original in this house and it has a soul. It’s a place that I always imagined myself to live at some point in my life, hopefully soon. Light, spacious rooms, locally sourced breakfast plate and bread, Bircher muesli, river Sheen in the back garden where I had a dip, the nearby Kenmare with its pubs and restaurants, Wednesday’s street market and on top of all Anne, who is witty, smart and good fun at the same time.
