Located on the spot that was once home to a carpentry workshop that served to rebuild the Palácio da Rosa after the earthquake of 1755, it’s no wonder that this home feature nods to Portuguese history in its decor. From the ornamental guitar in the living room to the artisanal wooden headboard in the bedroom, subtle hints at the city’s rich history sit alongside contemporary furnishings to create a most welcoming ambience.

Make yourself comfortable on the sofa with a glass of wine after a day of exploring or gather around the dining table for a celebratory meal when you’re not out sampling the local dining scene. The bedroom’s Juliet balcony is the perfect spot to perch with a nightcap before snuggling into bed for a restful night’s sleep.

When it comes to sightseeing, you’ve got plenty to see and do within easy walking distance. Visit São Jorge Castle – a twelve-minute walk – or take a ride on the Santa Justa Lift, ten minutes away on foot.
