Area The village of Dromore West in County Sligo is situated half way between Sligo City and Ballina town, and is home to 3 pubs, a Post Office, butcher, supermarket and a pharmacy. One of Sligo's many wonderful museums is located in Dromore West; Culkin's Emigration Museum sits on the site of Daniel Culkin's original Shipping and Emigration Agency, but today, features a host of fascinating artefacts, and also the Agency itself, which is housed inside the museum. The seaside village of Easky lies just up the coast from Dromore West and is a well-known surfing resort, while the long sandy beach at Enniscrone is great for family fun. A great year-round location.
Region The West of Ireland conjures up many images; thatched, whitewashed cottages, a flock of sheep on a narrow road, an emerald green field with a stone wall, or the Atlantic waves crashing into towering cliffs and rocky shores.
