Area
South of Scarborough and Filey on Yorkshire's east coast is the seaside town of Bridlington. The location of the most recent episode of Dad's Army, Bridlington houses many independent shops, tasty restaurants, and a historic "Old Town", with the Bridlington Spa Theatre on the waterfront providing the evening entertainment. In addition, the East Riding Leisure Centre has a family swimming pool in alongside a number of other indoor pursuits to keep the little ones entertained. The gorgeous Yorkshire Wolds, the close-by towns of Filey, Scarborough, and Whitby, as well as the breathtaking historic coastline, are all well worth a visit, boasting beautiful historic sites, quaint buildings and breath-taking scenery. Take a walk through Flamborough Head with its cliffs and caves and the RSPB bird refuge at Bempton, Sewerby Hall, and Danes Dyke, seeing what wildlife you can spot along the way. An amazing location for exploring the wonders of North Yorkshire.
