Days out can include a visit to Alnwick Castle and Gardens (6.2 miles), picnics and dog walking on the beach at Low Newton by the Sea (7.8 miles), water sports and beachside brunch at Beadnell Bay (11.4 miles), and a boat trip from Seahouses (12 miles) to see the amazing bird life, grey seal colonies and puffins in the season on the Farne islands. Enjoy seafood in Craster (8.8 miles) and head to Wooler for walking in the Cheviots (15 miles).
