This stone built cottage is set on a hillside above the bank to the north of the River Swale. It s a delightful area with magnificent countryside views of the valley and surrounding fells. Close by, you have the local pub, with the nearest shop around 3 miles away. The village of Reeth (3.5 miles) is just a short drive away, with pubs and shops clustered around the triangular village green making it a popular Dales village. Askrigg (8 miles), better known to millions as Darrowby in TV's All Creatures Great and Small , is just a short drive away as well, and Aysgarth Falls, Semerwater and Hardraw Force (England's highest single drop waterfall) are all within 12.5 miles. Enjoy the market in Hawes every Tuesday or head to the market town of Richmond, both 13 miles. Exploring the Dales, local attractions include the ruins of Richard III s Middleham Castle, the Old Gang Smelting Mill, Calver Hill, the Forbidden Corner and Aysgarth Falls, all within 15 miles.
