Helmsley itself offers so much there is very little need to explore too far afield, local attractions include Helmsley Castle, National Centre for Birds of Prey and The Walled gardens, or sample some local ale at the Helmsley Brewery. Step out the front door and head off in any direction, there are many walking routes that start and end in Helmsley. Or, drive to Pickering and take a ride on the famous North York Moors Railway which runs to Whitby, all set against the glorious backdrop of North Yorkshire. Upon entering the stone built cottage, which is crammed with character and a homely feel, guests will immediately feel relaxed and make themselves at home. After a day of adventures on the North York Moors, take your walking boots off and relax in the cosy open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Kick back on the sofa with a good book or curl up to watch a favourite programme or movie on the Smart TV. Rustle up a home cooked meal in the kitchen which features an electric oven and hob, dishwasher and fridge with icebox and then dine at the breakfast bar.
