The pretty village of Appledore has a bustling quayside, and amongst the narrow streets is a tempting range of restaurants, pubs, and shops to choose from.
During the summer, take the foot ferry to Instow where there s a sandy beach and plenty of pubs and restaurants. A larger beach at Westward Ho!, with its pebble ridge, is just a short drive away (3 miles) or you may prefer to walk along the coast path past the lifeboat station to get there.
