Situated just a short walk from the pretty high street of Bourton on the Water, this listed property is ideally positioned for exploring the Venice of the Cotswolds on foot. The town boasts a wide array of independent cafes, shops, restaurants and galleries for stocking up on supplies, buying gifts for family and enjoying hearty meals out. Bourton on the Water also marks the starting point of The Cotswold Way, which dissects the glorious surrounding countryside, passing pretty hamlets and villages along the way. Culture enthusiasts shouldn t miss a visit to one of the many National Trust properties and gardens, including Chedworth Roman Villa, Chastleton House and Hidcote Gardens. Also, within easy reach are the popular hotspots of Westonbirt Arboretum, Cotswold Farm Park and Blenheim Palace. The cottage welcomes you into the stylish kitchen with everything you need to rustle up a hearty meal, including an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. There is an adjoining utility room with washer/dryer. Head through to the dining room where you can enjoy a special meal with loved ones. The lounge is cosy and welcoming and provides the perfect space to curl up in front of the roaring wood burner with a good book whilst watching the TV/DVD, or just to relax in after a long day exploring. Heading upstairs to the first floor you will find the master bedroom with king size bed, vaulted ceiling and a stunning Venetian feature window that offers charming views over the village. The bathroom next door has a shower over bath and WC. There is a further twin bedroom which is bright and airy and benefits from a handy en suite shower room and WC. Taking a further flight of stairs up to the second floor you will find the cosy single bedroom, decorated with neutral tones and complimenting furniture to ensure you get a peaceful night s rest. A lavender lined path runs to the front door of the cottage and there is a large stone terrace, with easy access to the kitchen. This area is ideal for summer entertaining. The large garden is mainly laid to lawn with beech hedging. There is also a pretty rose arbour at the bottom of the garden, which leads directly onto the riverside path which leads to the centre of the village. There is also off road parking for one car.
