Property Overview
Located approximately 15 miles from Central York this cottage is close to the medieval cobbled streets, shops, cafes and restaurants that the city is famous for. A firm favourite amongst even the most seasoned of travellers, it's easy to see why people flock back here year after year. The Yorkshire coast is also within easy driving distance with the seaside resort of Hornsea, less than 40 miles away. Inside this gorgeous cottage you'll find a charming open plan living space incorporating the lounge, kitchen and dining area. Underfloor heating throughout ensures the cottage remains at a comfortable temperature and that toes are kept toasty warm on even the coldest of days. The lounge includes plenty of comfortable seats and a range of entertainment options. The kitchen can be found at the rear of the property and has a real country cottage feel, with solid worktops and bespoke handmade units. An oak dining table nestles between the kitchen and the lounge and offers a cosy spot from which to enjoy a hearty cooked breakfast or candlelit supper. There are two elegant bedrooms, the first of which is on the ground floor and is flooded with natural light from the dual aspect windows. The family bathroom sits next door and has Jack n Jill access from the bedroom and main living area. The second bedroom is up steep ladder steps on the mezzanine floor and features a king sized bed which can be made up into two singles if required. Directly outside the cottage you'll find a stone and gravel patio set beside a horse's paddock, with breathtaking views across the Yorkshire countryside. Outdoor furniture and a coal BBQ are provided so you can enjoy balmy evenings dining al fresco. Please note, because the grounds of this property include a duck pond, the owners welcome children over the age of eight and babes in arms only. The path is gravel and unsuitable for wheelchairs.
