The lovely village of Cartmel lies just seven miles from the southern reach of Lake Windermere, and features plenty of fantastic restaurants, a Norman priory and the smallest National Hunt racecourse in the country. The village lies on the Cartmel Peninsula, a body of land tumbling out into the Morecambe Bay. Grange Over Sands, over the hill from Cartmel, has delightful local shops and a mile long promenade. Hampsfell and Eggerslack woods make for a light days walking with some stunning views. The lanes are perfect for cycling and the coastline offers some lovely spots, such as Humphrey Head, a real pirate cove with a limestone cliff jutting out into the bay. On entering this delightful cottage you will find yourself in the central hall, which has been furnished as a small relaxing snug area which leads out to the smaller of the two patio areas. Back inside, the snug leads into the comfy and bright lounge/diner, which is tastefully furnished, with a cosy feel with the electric fire and is the perfect space to relax and gather together. Enjoy family time, or simply curl up with a good book or watch a movie on the Smart TV. To one side is the cosy dining area and, at the far end of the room French doors open out to a small walled and paved garden. Just inside at the far end of the lounge there is a separate downstairs WC and utility with washer/dryer. Moving into the stylish and elegantly designed kitchen, you will find it fully equipped with Rangemaster oven with five gas burners and two ovens, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, Morphy Richards coffee machine, coffee cafeteria and multipurpose food mixer. From the central hall, the stairs wind up to the first floor landing. Here you will find the spacious master bedroom with a super king size bed and TV along with an en suite shower room. The twin bedroom features revealed stone walls and two comfortable beds and pretty window seat. You will also find a shower room on the first floor. A further stairway leads up and opens into the attic bedroom, a cosy space with double bed, pitched roof, exposed beams and revealed stone walls. Outside you will find The Garden Spa, a new amazingly comfortable room with a gorgeous hydro massage spa tub to relax in, log burner for extra warmth to accompany the fantastic underfloor heating as well as a comfy sofa to snuggle up on with a book, cup of tea or glass of wine, Smart TV , fridge, and washroom for convenience, all beautifully finished and private just a few feet away from the cottage. This is set in a delightful walled, furnished and flagged patio garden. A perfect sun trap where you can relax, enjoy a pre dinner aperitif or dine alfresco on warm summer evenings using the Weber Kettle BBQ making the most of the outside space .
