With a prime position above the city of Sorrento, this villa has been designed with American architect Frank Lloyd Wright's philosophy in mind — namely that buildings should co-exist in harmony with nature. As such, guests will find a plant-filled garden with a gorgeous view of the sea and stone exterior walls that complement the surroundings.
The inside of the home is a different story. Whitewashed walls and blue tiling underfoot are not only bright and inviting, but make for a cooling space in which to escape the hottest part of the day. Bursts of colour come from a few pieces of artwork, but otherwise, the design is simple and effectively so.
The home sits within the grounds of a larger villa and guests get access to the shared outdoor facilities here, including the lawn, covered terraces and swimming pool. There are plenty more spots in the local area in which you can make the most of the wonderful climate. Bagni Regina Giovanna is less than ten minutes' drive away and offers visitors the chance to go swimming among the ruins of a Roman villa. The centre of Sorrento itself takes a similar amount of time to reach, too.
