Despite its studio size, this funky apartment offers everything you could need to get the most out of Madeira's cool capital city. We especially love the unusual, jungle-themed wallpaper. Always ones for an unconventional touch, we think it elevates this small but lovely space.

Start your day with an authentic Madeiran breakfast of Bolo de Caco (a flatbread made of wheat and sweet potato) and your favourite morning brew as the gentle morning sunshine streams through the windows. Then, it's off to see what the island has to offer.

Situated behind the Funchal Municipal Garden, you'll find yourself ideally placed along one of the main arteries of the city. Take a one-minute walk to the famous Municipal Theatre of Baltazar Dias or, spend the day doing a spot of shopping along the city's leafy boulevards. Flex your cultural muscles at one of the many museums and stroll through the lovely Funchal Marina. There are also plenty of waterfront restaurants to stop off at, ideal for refuelling with some traditional Madeiran cuisine. The Cathedral of Funchal and the tranquil green of Santa Catarina Park area are also within easy reach.
