Right in the heart of the pretty town of Henley-on-Thames, this period home has been given a modern and fresh facelift. Just a minute from the river and set on one of its most attractive streets, this perfect little piece of history was built as a chapel in 1850. Set over three floors, and with many of its character features preserved, it's now a rather swish place for a family get-together or a reunion of friends. White, grey and pink tones make for a relaxing feel and the home is filled with natural light. There's a sleek new kitchen, with all the mod cons should you decide to cook at home, but this town is also known for its great bars and restaurants – which are conveniently within walking distance. We especially love this home’s back garden, with its plush seating, greenery and charming glass shed. And the luxury bathroom, complete with a big, freestanding tub and double sink unit, is the stuff of dreams. In the evenings, sit outside on the patio set with a bottle of wine or stroll two minutes down to the river for a G&T at one of the waterside pubs. Oh, and if you happen to be staying during the Henley Regatta, it's practically outside your front door.
