Atmospheric and spacious house with, if you book Castagni I&II, a separate house in the garden. The view from the terrace and the pool is great. Orciatico is a nice quiet mountain village from where you can easily visit San Gimignano, Lucca and Volterra. There are also some beautiful villages nearby. Lajatico is recommended. We did miss an air conditioning in the house. It was very hot this week and not all of our fellow travelers could handle it equally well. But otherwise great!

Beautiful view. Getting used to, narrow driveway, but possible. Do not rent the small house individually if there are other tenants in the big house, as the small house has a terrace with a view right next to the pool, which is for everyone. Therefore also background noise! The bathroom window of the small house is only about 2 m from the pool. kitchen very small. Wifi impossible in the big house, only outside.

House in a nice neighborhood (but access via serpentine) with a nice garden and panoramic views. Orciatico town is small, but with a fairly cheap bar, ATM and shop. Friendly locals, but knowing the basics of Italian is worth it. Next to it, the pleasant town of Lajatico with a good pizzeria L'Aja. Supermarkets nearby. Travel to tourist attractions (Siena, Lucca, San Gimignano, Volterra, Florence, Cecina, Spiazza Bianca etc.) within 45 minutes - 1.5 hours.
