We’re not saying having access to a swimming pool in Lisbon is mandatory but it certainly helps. Stepping foot into the apartment, we loved the curved wall that leads you through to each luxuriously styled room. A spacious covered terrace is the perfect place to enjoy locally sourced pastries and a glass of the country’s renowned green wine. The living area, a palette of neutral creams and bold sections of charcoal is sophisticated and cool, and the green pops of various happy cacti bring the room to life.
There’s a small desk to catch up on any last-minute correspondence before stepping out of your front door into Marquês de Pombal, one of the city’s main hubs. The arterial roundabout sits at the foot of Avenida da Liberdade, a high-end shopping boulevard, and the slopes of Park Eduardo VII with its unfettered views of the River Tagus and Lisbon skyline. Jump on the metro for seven minutes to arrive at the banks of the water, where you can check off numerous attractions from your itinerary.
