We love the natural hues that have been used in the home’s colour block walls and the shoji-inspired panelling that is featured in most rooms. A rock garden complete with a bonsai makes the living area a chilled out space, ideal for kicking back on the sofa with a glass of wine and a vinyl on the record machine. Choosing where to enjoy your homemade Portuguese feasts is tough with a sunny dining room beckoning larger gatherings and a window-framed dining snug off of the kitchen – an ideal spot for morning coffees while basking in the city’s rays. The two bedrooms, meanwhile, are equally relaxing with their parquet flooring and mellow palettes, and each boasts its own desk space should you need to catch up on work. When you’re ready to head out for a day of exploring, you’ll find plenty to see and do within easy reach. Take a stroll through Parque Eduardo VII (a four-minute walk), treat yourself to some luxury shopping along Avenida da Liberdade (a five-minute walk) and explore the fado bars that line the cobbled streets of Bairro Alto, a twenty-five-minute stroll from your door.
