The hamlet of Lillington boasts beautiful countryside and is only 2.5 miles from the town of Sherborne, which draws many visitors for good reason. There are 12th century castle ruins as well as the new castle, built in the 16th century. The village itself has plenty to offer, including three welcoming pubs, a traditional Dorset tearoom and a shop/Post Office. Additional places of interest include Montacute House, Tintinhull House and Lytes Cary, which are in the care of the National Trust and all within 11 miles. The seaside towns of Weymouth and Bridport are located within a 25 mile radius of the property.
