Sandwiched between the soft sand of Kavos and Pefki beaches, this oceanfront villa puts the crystal shallows of Rhodes’ southern shore approximately twenty paces from your swimming pool terrace. Heading barefoot down the private path, you’ll find two wooden decks right on the waterfront, furnished with loungers and swathed with white billowing curtains. A sheltered bay makes this the perfect swim spot. Watch boats cut across the crystal-clear sea from here, or up on the first-floor terrace where a fire pit makes for the perfect accompaniment to a stunning island sunset. As well as a swimming pool, the main terrace has a manicured lawn with an ancient olive tree at its centre and dining for the whole group on the shaded patio.

The villa’s interior combined contemporary minimalism and Dodecanese tradition with vibrant works of modern art adorning white stone walls. Each piece of furniture feels as though it’s been picked from an interior design magazine, with a Southeast Asian feel to hand-carved wardrobes and lacquered desks. Slate floors keep things cool underfoot and exposed stone archways and fireplaces are a nod to tradition.
