Rise and shine with morning coffee out on the terrace, while marvelling at the wild beauty around you. Fire up the barbecue using dried banana leaves and enjoy a long brunch in the sunshine. And when you're ready to explore, the coast of Ponta do Sol is a mere two-minute drive away, boasting pebble beaches, tantalising restaurants and bars. Translating as "tip of the sun", the local area is one of the most sun-exposed places across Madeira, so there is no need to worry about the weather. When you do eventually return to your new home, unwind in the soothing living space benefitting from neutral tones of dark wood, brown, and pops of orange. An oasis of sultry calm, there's something special in those bananas.

*We highly recommend a car as this home is remote – there is free parking nearby.
*The path up to the home is fairly steep and bumpy, so please take extra care.
*You are surrounded by plantain fields – these fields are tended to and worked on. If you're looking for total privacy, this may not be the home for you.
*The entrance to the home can be difficult to find – please ask your host about this.
*The garden is not as well kept as the photographs show.
