Dazzling is an understatement when it comes to the views at this 19th-century villa. Facing the Gulf of Naples and the islands of Capri and Ischia, you'll be surrounded by postcard-worthy scenery. The garden oozes romance – it's dotted with Roman statues, blooming bougainvillaea, and vine-covered trellises ideal for sundowners. A few surprises are in store, too – we're talking a pizza oven, ping-pong table, and marbled Jacuzzi. Inside, you'll have plenty of space to unwind, with two sitting rooms to choose from and a collection of bedrooms with private baths. As for location, Sorrento (15 kilometres), Positano (21 kilometres) and Mount San Costanzo (a thirty-minute hike) are all within easy reach.
Home truths: *One king-sized bed can be split into two singles on request. Another bedroom has a trundle bed with a pull-out single that we think is best for two children.
*Your host can provide a cot upon request.
*This villa is spread across three floors. There are stairs both inside and out.
*We suggest hiring a car in this area if you're keen to explore. Private parking is available for up to four cars – you'll want a small or medium-sized car as the roads are narrow.
*You're welcome to use the small vegetable garden – it has seasonal vegetables and fruits like lemons, oranges, basil and tomatoes.
*House cleaning is included for at least two days per stay.
