We stayed here from the 13th to the 20th of April 2019. We had 7 of us overall and we absolutely loved our stay.
The house is very spacious and has a very big back garden, there are two spots at the top of the garden that are perfect for a morning coffee and the views from there are great. The bedrooms upstairs are big and spacious and each have their own ensuite, the 3 bedrooms downstairs can sleep 2 max, one has an ensuite and the other two share the large main bathroom which contains both a large jacuzzi bath and a sauna. We used the sauna several times during our stay and was not disappointed. The jacuzzi bath was also used and was very enjoyable. The only real problem with the house is that the water takes time to heat up, so showers need to be organised so that everyone can use the hot water, also using multiple electrical devices at the same time could cause an issue (like the dishwasher and oven).
The location of the house is perfect. Bus eireann travels through the village and the stops are only a 10 minute walk away, making transport from the airport and into Dublin easy. The village is a 5 minute walk and has everything you would need during your stay, including pubs, take aways, a grocery store with an ATM, a pharmacy etc. The Woodpecker pub is a 2 minute walk from the house and the food there is very good. Bus eireann can also bring you to Wicklow Town which has amazing views of the coast (we would recommend Black Castle), we walked to Wicklow Town which took about an hour, a taxi back cost €10 (which is very cheap). Mount Usher Gardens is a 5 minute walk from the house, we would highly recommend this, there is an €8 entry fee but it is worth the price! There was also a new local link service that had only started the week we arrived which connects Ashford to Glendalough, it only cost €3 for the trip and there is no entry fee into Glendalough, this is a must do!
The owner of the house was extremely helpful and welcomed any questions we had before and during our stay. She only checked in with us once to take out bins and change our towels but she gave us prior warning of this which was great! She had also left us some treats from the store as we did not have a car, a car isn't necessary but the walk up to the house is a bit of a hill so a car could come in handy. Overall our experience of the house and the kindness of the owner really made our trip extra special and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
One thing to note, when trying to find the house it is best to use the eir code the owner gives you, it makes it a lot easier.
