There's nothing better than a sea view, and this villa does not disappoint. Overlooking the Bay of Marathi and the White Mountains, our favourite spot to admire the scenery is the private pool – although the balconies and covered terrace are close seconds. Alongside the fantastic panoramas, you'll definitely appreciate all the contemporary comforts here – be it the wine fridge in the kitchen, PS4 in the living area or treadmill and gym equipment in the basement. There's even a desk on the first-floor landing if you need to work from home. Location-wise, you'll find restaurants, shops and historic charm aplenty in Chania – about 20 kilometres away – while Crete's famous beaches are also within easy reach.

*While not all the bathrooms are photographed, we expect the quality to be consistent with the rest of the home
