This beautifully decorated three-bedroom cottage is located in Church Bay close to the Harbour, Children's play Park and the local shop.
Arkell cottage is the ideal location for walking the island, fishing or having a swim in the clear sea of Church Bay.
This cottage was built in 2004 and is very comfortable with three bedrooms. The cottage is centrally heated with a superb gas fire in an antique fireplace, as well as a modern kitchen. There is also patio furniture and a barbeque.
Ground floor: Delightful modern kitchen, dining area and living space. Gas fire in an antique fire place.
First floor: Two double bedrooms (one ensuite), twin bedroom, separate bathroom and shower.
Outside: Hot shower, patio area and furniture, BBQ.
Fabulous A great experience, wonderfully remote and super friendly, a great place to gather your thoughts and be at one with nature. Take your painting gear and maybe pen and paper, you're bound to be inspired!

Wonderful I was yesterday in this island and stayed one night in the room by Hilary's I warmly suggest the place! Stay there if you want to re_charge and feel well in a natural environment. The rooms and the breakfast are superb and Hilary is a perfect guest. Read less

Super good food, Alan and his wife were super friendly, super helpful, can't imagine anything nicer. The breakfast, supper, and packed lunch were delicious. The boat ride to and from island was special fun and educational. Stay here if you want a great island experience.

"A please to stay on Rathlin Island" Magnificent room at the top of a spiral staircase, about as high as you can get on the island, outside of the lighthouses. The breakfast was good for at least two meals and served so you can have a cuppa before taking a walk and then return to get fed and replenish before heading back to reality on the mainland after a wonderful stay on the island. "Another fabulous visit" We have stayed at Arkell 3 times and it was fabulous each time. We have also stayed 3 times at Alan and Hilary’s home in Ballymoney - another great place. Alan & Hilary are superb hosts - they cannot do enough for you. Hilary even drove us to the bird sanctuary as the Puffin bus was not running whilst we were there. Hilary serves up the most delicious meals - so tasty. The hearty breakfasts cooked by both Alan and Hilary will set you up for the day - so much choice and all served beautifully. We would highly recommend staying at any of Alan & Hilary’s properties. Thank you so much
