Built on the top of a hill, surrounded by trees and shrubs, you’ll find this marvellous villa. From the outside, it’s fairly unassuming, just another of the white cubes dotted along the coast of Paros. Inside, you’ll find a home designed by an architect, with modern touches and clever solutions – for example, the materials used ensure that the home maintains a cool temperature all day.
The living room features panoramic windows, showcasing a glorious view of the Aegean Sea and the countryside. If it turns chilly in the evening, this is a fantastic place to watch the sunset from, curled up by the fireplace.
Outside you can enjoy even more of a view, whether you’re watching boats sail by as you sunbathe, or dining alfresco. There are two shaded dining areas, so you can sit at the table for hours sampling local cuisine.
If all the gazing out to sea has you hankering for a paddle, drive nine minutes to Kolimbithres beach. You’ll find crystal clear water to swim in, and fascinating natural rock formations. A fifteen-minute drive will see you arrive in Parikia, Paros’ capital. Wander along the narrow cobbled streets, admiring the traditional white and blue houses and old churches. Naousa is nine minutes away by car and has a wealth of restaurants, bars and cafes. Spend your morning lazing by the pool, before driving to this lively village for a spot of shopping and a meze feast.
