We are a Walkers Lodge here on Inis Mór, the largest of the three Aran Islands. We are close to the great Celtic Fort Dún Aonghasa , the blue flag beach at Killmurvy and also The Wormhole where the Red Bull Cliff diving takes place.
Our lodge, located on the magical island of Inismór, is a place for rest, adventure, pilgrimage, beauty, and culturally immersive Irish experiences!
We open our arms and doors to guests from all over the world for the summer season. Our intention is to offer beautiful, comfortable, and affordable accommodation with detailed information & suggestions on what to see and step by step guidance on where to go, provided by our warm and friendly team!
This year we will offer our Lodge to small select groups and families for private rental also. Please contact us detailing your requirements.
We are blessed to be situated in such a prominent and stunning spot on the island. We are nestled in among many historic and monastic treasures, on top of being immediately struck with sensational views from our front door! Our lodge is in prime position to embark on stunning walks to all such sites at your convenience.Bicycles and canoes can be available to guests.
It really is a pleasure to accommodate and connect with so many of you wandering travellers and we'll look forward to having you!
Whether you are here for relaxation or an adventure, our Lodge is bright, spacious, clean, and pristine. It is suitable for all types of Travellers.
Our large courtyard acts as a sun-trap, which creates a gorgeous place to watch the sunset over Dún Aonghasa Fort! We've created a beautiful 'nook' upstairs to perch in front of our large window that overlooks the rolling fields, grazing cattle, a breathtaking sky and the jagged cliffs. You can even see the beautiful Blue Flag Beach that is just a moments wander down the hill, along with Connemara's cut out silhouette off into the horizon.
But where our guests really love to end their day is in our comfortable and breezy living room! This area is ideal for reading, meditation, yoga (we have mats that are free to use), cards, watching a movie, or just hanging out and drinking a cup of tea!

This place was amazing and our favorite place in all of Ireland that we visited! The most comfortable bed and cozy fresh clean bedroom, the breakfast was fresh cooked and delicious options! The staff were amazing, it was the perfect location to really experience the island. I wish we stayed more than 1 night. The day we arrived we were able to rent e-bikes and easily ride to the hotel and then explore the west side of the island, the next day it was down pouring so hard and the owner was able to arrange for the bikes to be picked up from the hotel and then he personally drove us to the ferry for a reasonable fee. By far my favorite place and would recommend at least 2 nights to really explore the island and rest at the best bed in Ireland.

Loved our stay at Aran Walker's Lodge. It surpassed my expectations. It is in a really beautiful location, surrounded by nature sounds and fields. Wouldn't recommend if your rather be close to the town center because rides in and out can get pricey. However I much preferred this location than being next to the centre. It was more relaxing and walking distance to the beach and Dun Angus. I would return again and plan my trip to just stay at the lodge and just visit town when arriving or departing. The hosts were great. Very friendly, warm and kind. Brenda picked us up from the pier, who is super nice and welcoming

Lovely place to stay and spend some calm days in nature! Rooms are clean, included breakfast is good. You can rent bikes there and they will pick you up from the ferry. Sean is a nice host, but the real superstar is Brenda! She is always there for you and knows how to help! She even cooked us dinner which was delicious. Would 100% recommend and come back.

Lovely place and excellent service! We came to Inis Mór island to enjoy nature and relax a bit, away from buzzling Galway. Aran Walkers Lodge was perfect choice for us. It is bright, cozy and welcoming place, near a beach and walking distance from the historical fortress Dun Aonghasa. Our room was spacious, clean and fresh. Breakfast was lovely and filling, especially the local brown bread was amazing. Last but not least, big thanks to Jules who went extra mile to make our stay special. We will definitely be back next year to recharge in Aran Walkers Lodge and explore this beautiful island even more.

We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed every minute...didn’t want to leave!
Sean and Jules were lovely hosts who gave us loads of tips for the island and sights, and made us feel very welcome.
The lodge is a fair way from the pier, but if staying overnight, it’s probably one of the best choices. It’s near the Kilmurvy beach which is amazingly clean and empty of people once the day trippers leave. It’s also near the worm hole and Dun Aengus. They have bikes for rental too, so everything you need is here! Dinner can be found in the nearby Kilmurvy village till 5.
Our room had an amazing view of the Dun Aengus and sunrise and sunset. Who could ask for anything more?
