There is shared access to the lawned garden and play area, as well as the grounds and woodland around Swarland Old Hall. With the Heritage Coast with its castles and golden sandy beaches an easy drive, Apple Tree Lodge is an excellent base for discovering Northumberland.
Area Swarland is a village between Morpeth and Alnwick, with a shop and post office. Swarland is close to the castle and garden at Alnwick, and is within easy reach of NT Cragside and Rothbury inland, or the castles and beaches of the Heritage coastline.
