If you like a spot of wine tasting, you'll love this studio's location in Vila Nova de Gaia. The Port Wine Cellars are a two-minute stroll away, while the iconic D. Luís I Bridge is five-minutes on foot. There are many restaurants, food stores and cafes within two minutes' walking distance from this home, too. Or head to the nearby Cais de Gaia, the pedestrian promenade on the Douro river – it's lovely for a wander – take some photos along the way.

This apartment is housed in a historical building, which was once a traditional pharmacy – the pharmacy's name is still on the façade, actually, a detail we love. Inside the studio itself, you'll find a modern kitchen – make a francesinha sandwich after a busy day of exploring or relax on the comfy bed with its exposed stone backdrop. We think this home is the ideal bolthole for leisure or business travellers alike.
