The attention to detail the host has displayed in renovating the home is astounding – it goes without saying that this countryside manor is dripping in Georgian charm, but it’s also got all of the modern luxuries to guarantee a truly comfortable stay. The traditional English garden and opulent interior feel plucked from a novel, and with a private gym, pool, hot tub and games room, there’s certainly no shortage of things to do when staying here. From the grandiose central gallery hallway and its columns to the winding staircase and original stained glass roof light – admire the opulent period features adorning the home. We love the floor-to-ceiling Georgian sash windows and doors that allow floods of natural light to flow through the property whatever the weather. Open the doors upon a summer's afternoon and head out to make the most of the fairytale garden. Perfectly manicured, the expansive lawns are decorated with wildflower beds, ponds and trees that have been around as long as the house itself. Let the kids run wild on the private playground equipped with a treehouse, swings and slides galore. The picturesque setting is more than enough to allow the adults to catch some respite from busy working lives too – gin and tonic anyone? *The hot water tank for the first floor needs time to start working again after you run the bath, as the bathtubs are huge, but you have perfectly working bathrooms on the ground floor
