The owners passion is being environmentally conscious wherever possible. After acquiring the property was to increase the BER rating from an F which she achieved with a brilliant A3 rating. 14 photovoltaic solar panels and a 5kW battery reduce the amount of power imported from the grid. After powering the house excess power heats hot water for the sinks in the bathroom and kitchen and provides power for the EV charger. If there is any power left over it is exported to the grid. The windows and doors have all been updated to triple glazed (windows) and thermal insulating composite doors. These along with the addition of insulation in the walls and attic keep the house and a pleasant temperature throughout the year.
