"Right on the Grounds of the Abbey This is a wonderful old home that is, quite literally, at the Abbey. John and his mother, Christina, were very hospitable and helpful. The breakfasts were terrific. This is a nice jumping off spot in this part of Ireland.

We stayed at Abbey House three years ago and decided to stay there again. The B&B is run by mother and son who looked after us so well. The house is beautiful, large rooms, high ceilings all the trappings of a bygone era. It's really lovely, but a bit dated. Breakfast was always freshly cooked with a good choice of menu. There is a guest lounge and a wood burning stove which heated the room in no time at all. A very quiet and relaxing stay.

“Elegant, comfortable House”
This big white house is included included in some of the Boyle Abbey postcard photos. The rooms were large and elegant, and ours included a full bathtub - - something we hadn’t seen in other B n Bs. Christine obviously loves children and she and her son John were very forgiving when our little guy broke a glass vase. A perfect Irish breakfast. Then we enjoyed going through the Abbey, right next door. John recommended that we eat Clarke’s - - great call.

“Wonderful hosts”
John welcomed us in and was helpful and attentive. The house is huge, old, and well kept. The house shares the grounds with a 12th century abbey, and has the Boyle river running through the property. John and Christine are wonderful people and make you feel like one of the family. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and will fuel you for a day! Make sure to stay a couple days as the town is lovely and the hosts are excellent.

“Excellant Stay and Hosts”
Stayed for two days of pure heaven! Great breakfasts and warm and welcoming hostess Christine and host John! They are the reason it is called Bed and Breakfast lodging, they really do welcome you into their home and make you feel "At Home!" The house is a step back into time with all the modern perks. The location right on the Boyle Abbey grounds is perfect and you can sit on a bench and just watch the Boyle river go by and listen to the bird songs in the back of Abbey House or take a short walk into the town. You will be immersed into the area and the Abbey House is just the right place to do it. We will be back-Thank You Christine and John!!!
