“Wonderful 6 night stay”
I stayed here for 6 nights as a solo traveler this past June. When I arrived early on a Sunday morning they provided me access to their club downstairs where I had a small private room to shower, clean up and refresh after my flight from the states. Talk about a great start to my stay.
Staying there six nights I got to know the customer service staff - all wonderful people and they took a sincere interest in asking how my stay was going and how my trip was going. The CS Mgr helped me get tickets to a show one night while I was away at Queens Club for the tennis tournament.
The room, which was a single with a queen bed a few floors up, was more than roomy enough for me, safe in the room, water to take each day while walking around, little snacks each day, and more than enough toiletries and towels. The only unusual thing was that for some people the step up into the tub to shower could be difficult, for someone with knee problems you might want a small step stool as it is a relatively high step up.
The bed was very comfortable and the room was quite quiet and I got a good nights sleep every night and felt refreshed to take on the day. I usually started my days with breakfast in the restaurant, to be reviewed separately but is was very good.
I prepaid for the room so I did save some money over paying there in person. A very nice thing is that the Liverpool Street tube station is barely 100 yards away if that, so very convenient and you can connect to a number of lines right there.
The hotel is also within easy walking distance, < 2 miles one way of many attractions, including: The Monument, St. Pauls, Embankment, Tate Modern, Globe Theatre, and many others.
All in all it was a very enjoyable stay and I would certainly stay here again the next time I was in London - again, very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating staff.
The TV in the room was nice and of course the room has a safe and mini-fridge, plus coffee maker.
