Classy Place to Stay
My wife and I stayed at Newlands Country House in June 2018 as part of a tour of Ireland. The property is categorised as a B & B, but in our opinion this is an understatement. It is more like a hotel, with a very classy and tasteful dining room and a really clean, comfortable en suite room, which received excellent daily service from the owner, Nicola. She was very warm and welcoming on our arrival and anxious to do everything she could to make our stay a good one. The house is in a very quiet part of the countryside, but conveniently close to Kilkenny city and has ample parking. We were very sorry to leave and could certainly have stayed a lot longer. An excellent place to stay.

"A gem in the country"
We spent two nights at this B&B. It was a delightful stay. It is located about 10 minutes outside of the city of Kilkenny. Short drive. The hostess, Nicola, made sure that we knew where to go and how to get there. The breakfast was very good. Room is very clean and it was nice to be away from the city and in the country. Coffee and water are supplied in your room. The family lives at the bed and breakfast as well.

"Comfortable and lovely accommodation"
Comfortable modern amenities and yet the personal feel of a B&B. Our room was comfortable and private. Our hosts also gave lovely recommendations of the local restaurants and pubs. A bit outside Kilkenny, but close enough (10-15 min) to not be inconvenient.

"Very comfortable stay"
We stayed for only one night and it was exactly what we expected. The host recommended a local eating place for the evening without having to drive into Kilkenny. We had an excellent Irish breakfast in the morning with a very nice waitress serving.

"I've read stories of great Irish Innkeepers in novels, and I found it here"
It was such a treat to stay here. The rooms were like modern hotels with all the amenities, yet the personal feel of a country B&B is what strikes you. The beds and showers and rooms were magnificent. The breakfast and hospitality were beyond description. We're travelling in Ireland for several weeks and this was our favorite B&B.
