"Simply stunning"
Fabulous place with a wonderful host.
Frances was the perfect lady of the house. Breakfast was amazing l.
The pink room was elegant and we managed to get a peep at the other rooms. Definately the red room next time.
We will be back here.
Loved every minute. The only negative was having to leave x

"A fabulous stay, so warm and welcoming"
We stayed for 2 nights B& B in the family room. It was so charming with plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 children. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and Frances was a fabulous host, so warm and welcoming. Highly recommend staying here. Amazing location for visiting Lough Key Forest Park - great family weekend getaway!

"Charming period guest house, 5 star service"
Arrived very late to a very understanding and welcoming housekeeper. Wished we had arrived earlier to enjoy the evening. Everything you can think of is available - tea/coffee/herbal tea-making, help yourself facilities. All sorts of alcohol available in the sitting room.
Stayed in the red room with massive poster bed, big enough for me and 2 kids, which was extremely comfortable. Power shower is exact as described, just fantastic! Huge free-standing cast iron bath - again, wish I had more time to enjoy it.
Breakfast - bit of delay due to lack of space in the dining room but worth the wait. Selection of fruit compote and jam was heavenly, definitely home made. Nice little selection of cooked breakfast, not huge portions but of good quality.
Great location next right next to Lough Key Forest park. Good value.
All-in-all - highly recommended.

"A must place to stay in Roscommon"
We stayed at Lough Key House for 2 nights for Bed and Breakfast and one celebration dinner on the last evening. This was our first stay at this accommodation although the other members of our group had stayed previously and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We were welcomed by the housekeeper (Annie) at the accommodation as the owner was out at the time and a, warmer welcome one could not have asked for. The house is about 200 years old, built in the early 19th Century and decorated and furnished in the most amazing manner. The owner is extremely caring and attention to detail is very important to her and the food was superb and catered for every need. We will definitely return.

"Beautiful house with friendly, helpful host"
We visit Lough Key House on a bank holiday weekend and stayed above the chicken coup - a great novelty for the kids. Our room had a beautiful four poster bed with another room off it for the children. The welcome shortbreak on arrival was a huge hit with the kids. Breakfast was cooked to order and was and was of excellent quality. The gardens and setting were beautiful and it was lovely to just wander through the gardens and see the various plants and flowers. Frances was a lovely host who could not do enough to help us. We would definately return to Lough Key House again.
