Hazel Manor offers five star accommodation, a tranquil retreat, yet convenient for Harrogate. Your Hosts, Janet and Paul Hollins, offer a personal touch, an alternative to corporate banality.
Set in the beautiful countryside of Lower Nidderdale (itself an area of outstanding beauty) Hazel Manor occupies half of the property previously known as Hazel Court “Mansion House” in Killinghall near Harrogate North Yorkshire.
The Mansion was built in 1857 and documents reveal that the house was purchased in 1881 for the princely sum of £4,000 by a Francis Ellison esquire and in 1936 for the lesser amount of £3,5000 by Messers P.Whitely and sons.
The Mansion house was split into four apartments in 1960 and the Manor incorporates two of the former apartments (2 and 4). Many of the original period features of the original house remain.
