"Utter Delight"
It's easy to understand why this place generates so many top ratings. First, the hostess, Mary, treats her guests with such warmth and graciousness that you end up feeling as though you've stayed at the home of a good friend. Amidst a hospitality industry that focuses so much on profit, cutting corners and staff that may sound polite but don't really care about your experience, Mary represents the very best of an independent B&B proprietor. You can't fake her warmth and genuine concern for the well-being of her guests. It was my first night in Ireland, and I thought that the Irish are a very appealing people if Mary is representative. On top of that, the breakfast was both delicious and as customized as you'll find anywhere. Finally, the home itself is beautiful and set in a lovely park. If you like older homes (including real servants bells you can see near the kitchen) rather than sterile modern, this is an ideal place. Parts of the house date to the sixteenth century, and the restoration is magnificent.

"Exceptional place to stay!"
Our stay at Grange Manor has been one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland. Hospitality must have been invented by Mary and Frank personally, since we were waited upon like royalty. Freshly baked scones upon arrival, breakfast made to perfection... Wonderful rooms, do choose one of the suites, it's worth it! It was a delight in every aspect.

"Extraordinary find"
Everything about Grange Manor is exceptional, from the luxurious and spacious rooms, sumptuous breakfast, incredibly courteous service and warmth of the welcome Mary and Frank extend to you. The locale is beautiful, peaceful and serene. If I say we were treated like royalty (which we were)you might think that the manor is stuffy, and it definitely is not, while if I say they treat you like their nearest and dearest friend, you might fear too much familiarity, (which is exactly how we felt) that would also be wrong. Suffice it to say that during our recent two night visit we could not have been more pleased. We were completely blown away, and heartily recommend it.

"Wonderful Place to Stay"
My wife and two friends were lucky to have chosen Grange Manor as our first place to stay outside Dublin on our recent trip to Ireland. While the car gps found it difficult to locate the property (use google maps or latitude/longitude in preference), our host Mary successfully directed us by phone. On arrival we were treated to a lovely batch of home made scones by Mary and Frank which set the tone for the remainder of our visit. The breakfasts were wonderful, the rooms very comfortable and the property had a real charm. The property is a little distance from Kilkenny but for a lovely stay in a countryside location it is highly recommended.

"Outstanding Property and Host"
Found this property last minute online, Mary met us at the road to show us in. Had no time to prep for our arrival, but settled us in with tea, a warm room, and a bath tub to die for! 4 poster bed, incredible breakfast and fascinating property history. 26 acres of gorgeous Ireland! Would totally recommend Mary and her property to anyone passing through Kilkenny. Don't miss out!!!

"Old world charm"
I stayed here for one night and it was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Mary and Frank are fantastic hosts and nothing is too much trouble to them. The house is magnificent and has so much history attached to it. The bedroom was large, cosy and had so many features from times past. You could spend the day in the house and find so many things to delight in. The breakfast was superb...cooked to order with beautiful brown breads and scones. The manor is in a beautiful country setting and is a perfect place to get away from it all and step back in time. Hope to return soon. Brian
