"Wonderful Hen Party"
Had an amazing hen party here for our friend in May. Lucille and her parents could not have been more friendly or accommodating. If you're looking for somewhere to host a beautiful event then this is the place for you. 5 stars. Highly recommend.

"Wonderful place to relax and unwind"
This is the third time we have visited with our twin boys; twice in one of the cottages and once in the main house. We have always had a lovely, warm welcome from Bernadine and her family and the breakfasts (including the amazing scones) are something of a family legend. It is comfortable and in such a beautiful setting. We have fond memories and happily recommend it to others.

"The Perfect Location For An Intimate Wedding"
I would highly recommend Coolanowle Country House as a perfect location for a wedding.

We had a very intimate celebration with just immediate family. 13 adults and 4 kids and the location couldn't have been more perfect, there are plenty of rooms and cabins onsite for everyone to stay, a beautiful refurbished rustic barn where the Civil Ceremony was held, sprawling woodlands and grounds with ponds to explore which was ideal for photos

From day one Lucille was extremely helpful in helping me organise things and went above and beyond in assisting us to reschedule when Storm Emma scuppered the plans for our original wedding.

They have a fully stocked bottle bar in the main house that served drinks until late and the food was 5 star quality, with organic meat and veg grown on the farm onsite... the Chocolate fondant was a particular high point for everyone!! Because of the small numbers we chose to hold the event within the gorgeous dining room and lounge of country house itself but larger numbers could avail of the barn which also has its own bar.

Apart from the breathtaking grounds and comfortable bedrooms, it was the little things that made it special, the open fire in the lounge, the vintage willow pattern tea cups, the swings hanging from trees and the fact that the owners made the whole party feel so welcome and comfortable, they remembered everyone's name which was a lovely touch and we cannot thank them enough for making our wedding day more perfect than we could have hoped for.

"Beautifully appointed, quiet country house stay"
I had some family business to attend to locally and, wanting to stay a bit away from the bustle of the town found Coolanowle Country House.
I was welcomed warmly by the Bernadine, the owner with a cup of tea and a cake, the room was spacious, clean and warm with all amenities I required.
Breakfast was served exactly as I wanted it to be, and was a hearty farmhouse start to the day - cooked fresh to order with first class ingredients.
My only regret was not being able to stay longer. I hope to return again.

"Excellent Wedding Venue"
Had our wedding reception at Coolanowle on the 16th of September and we couldn't have picked a nicer venue. It was perfect for what we wanted, something different to the norm that provided a fun, relaxed and homely atmosphere for both ourselves and all our guests.

Lucille was a fantastic support to us in both the build up to our wedding and on the day itself. Her help and support was instrumental in making our wedding day run without a hitch.

We received a lot of feedback from our guests as to how impressed they were with the venue, the food and the professionalism of the staff.
With regards the food, it really was excellent and included Coolanowle's own organic meat. The breakfast served the following day was of an equally high standard.

It really was a fantastic day from start to finish and we are so delighted we picked Coolanowle as our reception venue.
