"Better than any hotel"
I stayed here the night before my wedding. On arrival I was greeted with a warm welcome. In my room I was left chocolates and champagne. That was a lovely touch I think. I had a very spacious room with a lovely en suite. I woke early and went down to the kitchen to find the owner Mary Geraldine baking scones for all guests. I got a beautiful full Irish with all the trims. Later in the morning my parents arrived and again Mary Geraldine cooked a another full Irish breakfast free of charge. I was made at home and she allowed me to make her home my home. Ballinahoun House is nicer than any hotel and I will return this year. So a huge thank you to Mary Geraldine and Thomas who are both lovely people and so welcoming.

"Wonderful experience"
Stayed at Ballinahoun House for a night and was blown away by everything.

The welcome we received was beyond warm and friendly. Mary and Thomas are such welcoming people and made us feel right at home.
The house itself is gorgeous and very spacious; the bed was comfortable, the room was lovely and clean and very nicely furnished.

The grounds were ideal for some sunbathing (a rarity in Ireland) and the breakfast was magnificent. I'm not easily filled, but between the freshly cooked full Irish breakfast, the extras that Mary offered, and the continental breakfast (including fresh fruit), I left the table absolutely stuffed.

Cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you for hosting us.

"Can't get any better"
I've never written a review before but I feel compelled to after my time at Ballinahoun Guest House.

I recently visited Ireland for the first time. I toured the country in my short (2 week) stay (over 2000 km covered) and of the numerous places I stayed, nothing compared with Ballinahoun Guest House - so much so that after I toured around, I decided to head back to finish my trip off there, the way I had started it. In fact, during my visit another couple was there having stayed last year also.

My room was large, warm, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bed was super comfy and the en suite meant there was maximum privacy. The breakfasts Mary G prepared set me up for a day of adventuring.

Mary G and Thomas (and their family) were exceptionally welcoming and accommodating - nothing was too much for them. They provided excellent advice on places to go, and things to do and see, not only in Co. Wexford but across the country - if it weren't for them, I wouldn't have experienced the loveliness that is Killarney.

The price was amazing - I was charged through the teeth in other places across the country and didn't get anywhere near the space, service or pleasantness that I did in Ballinahoun Guest House.

I cannot recommend this B&B highly enough - I can't wait to stay again!

This was by far the best B &B we stayed at, even thought it was out of our way in the country. Mary and Thomas were gracious host. Had a lovely visit about lots of history in Ireland. Food could not have been any better, a wide variety of fruits, choices for main course, host could not have been any nicer. Room very comfortable, bed comfy.
