“Simply splendid”

We dined and stayed at the Vineyard on a late summer Sunday evening, choosing the stunning Judgement menu, with matching wines - and it was simply stunning. The service was as ever exemplary, our sommelier was charming and as you would imagine very, very knowledgeable and happy to share. We had marvellous, innovative food, fabulous wines, an extremely comfortable room- and I took advantage of the chance to use the pool. This was just one night, but it felt special and was special. It is always a pleasure to enjoy superlatives!

“Weekend break at The Vineyard Hotel”

I have just returned from a weekend stay at The Vineyard Hotel in Berkshire. My other half was playing golf close by so we decided to make a weekend of it.

The Vineyard is a stunningly beautiful, wine-centric hotel as its owned by a family who ply their trade in California vineyards.

The entrance to the hotel makes this wine link very evident with the glass floor where you can look down into the wine cellars which hold around 30,000 bottles of wine.

We arrived way ahead of the 3pm check in so I made full use of the spa facilities and had the signature gold facial treatment. When I was ready to check in I was escorted to the suite we booked by Tom from the reception desk, and whilst he is relatively new his enthusiasm for his job and the hotel was very evident, the same has to be said about all of the staff here, they are certainly one of the main assets of this hotel.

We had a table booked for dinner in the restaurant at 8.30pm so adjourned to the bar for a drink beforehand. The Vineyard as you'd expect have the most amazing and comprehensive wine list, far too many to make the choice remotely easy. With myself being vegan I called ahead and the chefs created a 5 course tasting menu specifically for me, which I can safely say was absolutely delicious and stunningly beautiful in the visual sense.

We called on the services of the sommelier who picked the perfect bottle of wine to go with our food choices.

Our room was an Atrium Suite on the ground floor, and surprisingly very quite considering the foot traffic that you would expect.

The room was spacious, modern and decorated beautifully with an seating area and large patio doors, the bed very comfortable and we both had a great nights sleep. The bathroom was large and had a bath and large shower. Most importantly everything was spotless clean so kudos to the housekeeping team employed by the hotel.

All in all a fabulous and relaxing weekend, albeit not cheap but I'm more than happy to pay for this kind of first class service.

I have nothing negative to say about my experience, so a big thank you to all the staff I interacted with and congratulations to The Vineyard for creating a guest experience that I think is hard to beat.

“Wonderful anniversary break”

My wife and I books a one night break to celebrate our anniversary.
From the moment we arrived we where impressed with how attentive and responsive the staff where.
Our room was large and comfortable.
We went to the spa and saw three hours go by in a blink of the eye as it was so relaxing in the sauna, pool and jacuzzi.
We decided upon the al a carte menu with the accompaniment of wine per course, although this was the most expensive meal we have ever had it was well worth every penny as it was a real treat for all the senses.
I hope we will be back soon.
