This super deluxe villa is perched above the city of Toulon, with an almost bird’s eye view of the city all the way to the sparkling Med. Toulon centre is a ten-minute drive, where you’ll find boats bobbing the harbour, military museums and a bustling farmer’s market. If you fancy a day at the beach, head to the golden sand and crystal shallows of Plage du Mourillon, a fifteen-minute drive away. The villa itself is a laid-back, hacienda-style picture of opulence. Our favourite thing about it is the myriad terraces, a wrap-around balcony and garden all overlooking that stunning view. Slipping into the infinity pool feels a bit like stumbling across a secret lagoon, set in stonework and surrounded by rugged Provencal scrubland. The roof terrace is a real suntrap, so you can make the most of that South of France sunshine. A corner fireplace and sunken, circular seating in the pristine white living room feels distinctly Mediterranean and walls of glass along the open-plan living area open up to the pool terrace. Upstairs, most bedrooms have glass sliding doors that open up to the balcony, so you can awake to a sea view after a sound night’s sleep.
