Suitable for a family or two couples, this minimalist getaway is located in a quiet, residential area, around a seven-minute drive from Câmara de Lobos and ten minutes from the heart of Funchal. Formosa Beach is also easily reached by car. The home features all the accoutrements you’ll need for a comfortable stay, plus a private patio for alfresco meals in the sunshine. Just so you know, natural light is lacking on the ground-floor of the house, and the street outside is very steep.

*If you’ll be staying with a little one, your host can provide a cot, baby bath and high chair upon request.
*The pipework in this building is old, so expect an occasional odour in the bathroom.
*There is a dog in the neighbouring property that occasionally barks – light sleepers may want to pack earplugs.
