Deep in the heart of the Cotswolds, we found this idyllic home to be an ideal setting for a romantic escape. Both Glouster and Cheltenham are a short drive away, but beautiful nature, picturesque villages, and country pubs accessible via cross-country walks are the main draw here. As it's an annex, you won't be completely secluded outside, but the home is yours alone and has a private entrance. While there are plenty of welcome authentic touches – especially the wooden lintels and exposed brickwork – the sloping ceiling in the bedroom might inconvenience taller guests.

*The entrance is accessed via an external staircase. There are also several steps leading down to the bedroom, so this home isn't suitable for those with limited mobility.
*The ceiling is very uneven in the bedroom. It may not be suitable if both guests are tall.
*If you're travelling with little ones, you'll find a cot and highchair here. Your host can also provide a baby monitor and baby bath on request.
*You'll need to drive here. There's free parking.
*If you're travelling for work, you won't find a dedicated desk here. However, the dining table doubles up as a laptop-friendly workspace, and the wifi is fast.
