Recently renovated to create a number of fully accessible holiday homes, and built with great eco-credentials, this fabulous Catalan country home dates back centuries and retains its period character. We're talking exposed stone walls, elaborate beamed ceilings, terracotta floors and plenty of arches, terraces and balconies. Looking out across lush countryside, it's a peaceful slice of rural Spanish life.

Inside, your home blends traditional character with stylish, modern design. There's a big, bright, open-plan living space with a practical kitchen, a dining table and a comfy sofa, which opens out to a private terrace with stunning views. You can eat out here at the table, or relax on your private sun loungers. But just step into the lift and you'll find the building's shared amenities are at your fingertips, with use of a huge hot tub, an outdoor pool and several communal spaces – including a barbecue area.

Built next to a Gothic church dating from the 15th century, your home is in the small village of Santa Candia, surrounded by forests. There are great hikes on your doorstep and ancient castles to visit, but Barcelona is just an hour's drive too.
