This home sits in the buzzing inland town of Sa Pobla, where you can experience a slice of real Mallorcan life. You’ve got streets filled with restaurants, bars and cafés galore, plus plenty of shops, but this place hasn’t quite made it on the tourism radar. Perfect for those that like a bit of authenticity.

You could make the short drive to the beach at Alcudia, or just stick around in the courtyard garden by the Jacuzzi. Pot plants provide a bit of greenery and there’s a wooden dining table for alfresco lunches. Inside, we love the original tiled floor of the living room, a nod to the 19th-century architecture that surrounds you. Stone archways and wood beams are in display and a grand old staircase leads up to the bedrooms. A couple of the bedrooms have Juliet balconies looking out over the atmospheric street before you.
