You’re also just a ten-minute walk from the main train station, so this place is ideal for those who want to explore the city on foot.

Inside, gold-trimmed stools at the breakfast bar and tufted velvet sofas in chestnut-brown are a plush look back at yesteryear. The slate-grey kitchen hides myriad mod cons for meals at home, and the living room has an wood-burning stove for a little cosiness. High double doors from the 19th century connect the living and dining room with the kitchen, creating an open-plan feel and corniced ceilings sit alongside modern sculptures for an eclectic feel.
